The story of the cretan Min-O-Taur(us)

The last mythological example (and there are probably a few more that can be explained as I have) is the story of the Minotaur or Crete. The author only understood it when he learned about the Egyptian god Min and the realized the Minotaur mythology is also related to the stars.

MIN-O-TAUR(US)

Orion combined with the bull makes the bull headed man. In my other article I showed the links to the phallic figures in Turkey and the evolution into the Shiva lingam. But as far as I am aware this particular zodiac link was never established to the god Min.

The labyrinth is a reference to the sky, time itself, life, with its twist and turns as also can be seen in cathedrals in europe in relation to the cross, which in itself is a reference to the pillar of heaven and the ecliptic path or the cross of the zodiac. There are zodiacal references in the Egyptian labyrinth as well. In 12 palaces or 12 kings who made it.

The bullman as such has later evil conotations after Dante.

King Minos of Crete, son of Europa and Zeus, brother to Rhadamanthus, commanded Daedalus to construct the Labyrinth to contain the Minotaur. After his death, King Minos took a position as one of the judges in Hades (Dante features him in the Purgatorio and the Inferno). Hades is the bottom or winter part of the zodiac starting from aquarius to leo. Figures are “banished there” as the sky turn, much how Jesus is put into a cave to redirect later, which he does annually for those still waiting on his return. 12 apostles, 12 zodiac signs, 4 evangelist, 4 corners of the zodiac in respective signs of Taurus, Leo, aquarius and Aquila. More on that in the codex dei article on this blog.

Although king Midas and his wife do not feature in the zodiac there is a king and a queen in the zodiac in the form of Cassiopeia and Cepheus and their daughter Andromeda who does have a “zodiac story” with the sea monster and her being “tied to a pole”.

There are similar elements of maidens being sacrificed to the min-o-taur, is a zodiac story based on similar elements, slightly changed, from sea monster (Cetus) to bullman (Taurus/Orion) as the author explained before all mythology, is turning zodiac stories.

The queen of Crete giving birth to the minotaur after the king didnt sacrifice his bull to Poseidon he made the bull impregnate his queen to give birth to the minotaur. There are other demon related links to the bullman in the form of Moloch and The brazen bull, also known as the bronze bull, Sicilian bull, or bull of Phalaris, a torture / execution machine. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brazen_bull. In the end, by the passing of time we are all sacrificied to the bull (Taurus) in a way. It was for this reason also that the golden calf was made. In below painting, clearly in the sky. Source: The Worship of the Golden Calf by Filippino Lippi (1457–1504) A golden calf, or a brazen bull (Brass) are quite close together in appearance.

A modern version of prominent bull symbology is found in the wallstreet statue.

Killing the bull has been the task of many heroes in the past, from Gilgamesh slaying the bull of heaven, to Theseus the minotaur, to Mithras in his bullslaying scence. All of these are celestial in nature. Although the bull was spring and hence slayed in many ancient art, The bull is now, due to the precession of the equinoxes, the new summer solstice constellation in 2025 for the next 2000 years or so.

All of these have an origin in the sky of Perseus/Orion fighting the bull of heaven, Taurus. Image source: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/cc/1b/a3/cc1ba3485ea40eab44693407ac393bab.jpg

The author also noted in his Sphinx paper the iconography of the lion killing the bull as seen in the Persepolis relief and the sphinx gazing at Taurus at the time, summer at spring. As I have said many times before, all is zodiac.

Now, although there are clear references to the zodiac in terms of the labyrinth, even in the face of Humbaba in the epic of Gilgamesh as noted by other researchers.

The author has hopes the labyrinth of Egypt is indeed a real structure and not a metaphore.

A massive underground palace in the style of the Oseirion would be an interesting twist and addition to understanding Egypts and humans past.

Although I touched this subject in my life before, maybe it’s time to give it my full attention.
